The mission of the Cincinnati World Cinema is to provide the community with outstanding motion pictures that explore the human condition and celebrate cultural diversity.
CWC is committed to the importance of films that inform and educate, as well as entertain. To enhance the educational experience, our film events typically include discussions with local authorities and/or filmmakers.
We present films that otherwise might not be seen in this market, with genres including international, documentary, American independent, live-action and animated shorts and locally-produced works.
As part of our educational focus, community outreach efforts include programming for community, educational and institutional venues, with film and discussion formats tailored to specific audiences and age groups.
Cincinnati World Cinema actively collaborates with arts, cultural and educational organizations locally and throughout the region to curate and co-present individual films, thematic collections or series consistent with the CWC mission.
~~~~~
In the process of exploring the human condition, our films touch on a broad spectrum of cultural and societal issues. Films presented by CWC are offered in the public interest and do not necessarily signify organizational endorsement of any issue, cause or group.
