BOOKEDProduced in Cincinnati, “BOOKED” is the hilarious feature-length comedy about two high school theatre geeks who are snubbed for the leads in their senior year musical performance. To prove their worth in the eyes of their dismissive and invalidating classmates and teacher, they audition for top college BFA Musical Theatre programs to prove they have what it takes.

Written, directed, and starring University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music grads Cassie Maurer, Chesney Mitchell, and Eli Owens.

From Director Cassie Maurer: “A modern coming-of-age comedy, BOOKED explores the complex dynamics of childhood friendships, suburban familial tribulations, and the farcical yet completely real and highly competitive process that is auditioning for drama school.”

BOOKED won Best of Fest at the Cindependent Film Festival, Best Narrative Feature and Best Score at the Sky Arts Film Festival, was a semi-finalist at the Rhode Island Film Festival and Official Selection of the New York Independent Film Festival.

Cindependent Film Festival board member Jack Crumley will be with us to discuss the film.
